Thursday Excuses

Hair cuts
and
runny noses...

school anyone?

We'll pass.

Reading Wednesday

Catching up on his reading, Mascot
assumes position at the seatwork table
and quietly completes his work!
Ode to learning by example.

Don't think that it's all books
and no learning at play...

Finding his own quiet places, he's always busy.

Warrior doesn't mind having
distractions, and often has to be redirected,
but always finishes strong before the timer so as to secure his chocolate chip reward!

Student on the other hand, has known no stopping point,
and will finish up her Health studies soonest this semester.

Finding her learning to be fun,
most days.

It is pure joy to Teacher to have the opportunity to train
these children up in the way they should go.

Even when it means laundry!
Oh what blessings He hath bestowed upon us!

Tuesday Anew

Digging up the old,
and making room for all things made new, again.

God is working,
and Teacher is slowly
catching up.

Mascot plays.

Warrior learns.

Student teaches.

What would we be without children in our lives?
Thanks be to God, the creator of life.

Monday Continues

With the passing of the days,

and the semester nearing an end,

Student's focus is on Art, and so the entrance door found itself
growing spring flowers. A lovely addition, indeed. Until Warrior
gives in to his desire to rip them down and eat them, that is.

The group effort was a success!

Though it takes Warrior a little longer to complete a project and stay focused,
he comes through with flying colors! And Mascot finds time with Student always to be
full of cuddling.

Finishing up with Reading, Warrior gets help from Teacher & Mascot.

And, since Teacher is posting all of this AFTER summer has already found
the Homeschool, short=sweet, as THE BLUISH is becoming a space for learning
as Warrior will need a more focused learning environment for the upcoming Kindergarten year! Yes, Teacher, you said KINDERGARTEN!

Bless the Lord, oh our souls,
and all that is within us.

Bless His Holy name.

Warrior, on the other hand, is focusing on finishing the cursive alphabet that had extended it's stay here, at the Homeschool.

And Spring Break Comes

Just as Our Lord promised, the season
has changed. Welcome Spring!

Enter: the great American roadtrip!

Finding the presence and care of God around every corner...

The Homeschool galloped through the city...

across bridges and through the woods...

and rested by the water.

Now, really, God is good.
Even though the trees still looked naked,
and lacking-life...
all felt the warmth of the sun,
swung in the breeze,
and held high hopes for the days ahead!

Praise You, oh Father of Jacob,
You who never sleeps and cares for
our every need. Thanks to You with much
honor and glory,
as You are that which keeps us safe.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Monday Before

Before spring break comes,
there should be self-disciplined teachers
and students completing the
lessons in their planners...

When given the choice of reading or laundry,
Student chose reading...first.

Choices, choices...these are the things of life.

As for Warrior,
he put on a smile and his thinking cap to complete a puzzle BEFORE reading.

Teacher is delighted in the differences that God instilled in each of them when knitting them together. As reading usually comes first for Student, Warrior would rather get some fist-pumping action on with each puzzle-piece that connects!
Hulk style, of course!

Among his other assignments, Warrior chose to peek ahead in his self-led Art projects. Since he is a summer baby, he anxiously is awaiting the coming of the next season and his birthday. So, in spirit of SUMMER, here's Uncle Sam!

And what's that bushy beard one may ask?

Teacher's stash of poly stuffing makes all things great!

Surviving seatwork, Student is rather encouraged by the tidbits of information in
Math as she began the World Unit.

And with eyes on the spring break prize, Student journals of her excitement to leave the campus!

Lord, grant us the patience to complete the task at hand, with all our might, as we await our roadtrip. Amen.

Friday Halfie

Blame Teacher and her passion: sewing.
Homeschool Halfie today!

Not just any project, but an experiment!

And really, while seatwork had it's place with Student, Mascot found himself creating, too!

Is there a rule that SHARP objects don't get into the hands of a toddler?
Well, he was learning about patterns, and he's a stunt man, really.
Not to say that Principal condoned this pattern exercise, because he did NOT!

As for Warrior, he graduated from his short vowel books and Mrs. Tonya would be so proud!

Teacher sensed a bit of pride from Warrior himself, as he lay the books out in order.

Hes almost beginning to show Kindergarten potential! Maturity and all!
