Spider Man needed Teacher's assistance with the slippery cards.

Taking part in Student's History lesson, Spider Man remarked

that Mr. Luther King talked like Bill Cosby!

Yes, he's listened closely to the Cosby records previously, so his brain was probably just connecting one BAD sound recording to another! Who can pick the brain of a Super Hero?

For Teacher, however, the experience of listening to Dr. King's speech, was a tear-jerker. Even Principal was present, and it was a beautiful experience. How obvious it is to Student that the hate he spoke of was deception from the enemy and the dream he spoke of was the heart of God. Teacher is in awe of her.

Rosa Parks was added to our Civil Rights timeline today.

Nothing connects to Student like the true story of

GIRL POWER!

Taking turns with our auditory quiz today,

Spider Man and Student thought through questions of

opposites and true/false.

Spider Man was increasingly confident with each question. It was the word FALSE, that was new to his vocab, which brought some confusion. He knew for sure if Teacher's statement was breaking a commandment and LYING, though! What a Super Hero, always focused on doing what is right!

During Spider Man's reserving of energy (nap) Student continued in her Journal, Math, Holy Bible, Phonics, and cooking. After his return, she graciously shared her strawberry muffins with our guest. And they ate the fruit-filled goody with anticipation of strawberry-filled summers, after all, He promises that He will bring a new season. Right about now, the Homeschool is awaiting the fulfillment of His promise, that always comes, but not a day too soon!

Friday Tales

Really, Homeschool had it's own lessons planned,

schedule arranged,

and pencils located from underneath the daily clutter...

But, God stepped in and ordered a day in the sun!

This is when one has to NOT brag, but be thankful that

God honors obedience. And through our attempt to bring education to a focus in the home,

He brings surprise family days full of His love!

Student simply attempted her Science experiment to compare the measurement of the water, liquid, before it froze into ice, solid.

KABAAAAM!

This is where variables come in...the ounce measurement of the water, liquid, before freezing wasn't recorded! Love to learn!!

And for Math, Student added up all the price tags on the used books she eyed at the Homeschool's thrift venture today. That counting by 25s is getting better all the time.

Art, what is a day without it? I am just sure Jesus will assign Student the job of creating sunsets, once we get to Heaven! As for now, she enjoyed this mess-free gingerbread house creating! Layered candies and all!

Ending the day with dough fun, Student and Toddler helped make some Cinnamon Focaccia for our sack lunch...as tomorrow will take Student to the local metropolis for ArtVenture! Paralleling with her map learning, she'll be constructing a project and viewing art of the same subject.

Art Galore

Waking an hour before her usual eye-opening time,

Student tromped downstairs to begin her sewing project today!

What better motivation than the anticipation of viewing color

and design atop fabric in the morning sunshine?

Ironing, cutting, sewing, and stringing bells... these door hangers crafted with gratitude for gifting to her Sunday school and Violin instructors.

Spurring the mind of a young believer, the court house lawn display of a manger scene, which Student spotted on our light tour last night, prompted her to write a letter to our city! So, for Language, Student wrote and mailed:

"Dear City,

What you did what rite.

Thank you!

I see youer manger.

Sincerely,

First Grade Student"

Toddler, on the other hand, wasn't standing still for anything.

He was plotting spoon wars. Taking turns with each silver metal weapon attacking the other and then transforming them into musical instruments.

And talking to Student about her project...

" Let me hold it or I'll broke it!" he said in his manliest voice.

Principal was on discipline duty for that one!

Continuing with counting by 25s, Student mixed and matched coin piles to count totals. Principal has really been a help in Math as she thinks much like him.

Journal is substituting for the sketchbook

that is bursting at the seams with completed artwork.

History was the nighttime story tonight, as Teacher was working away from the Homeschool and Principal was in charge of finishing the lesson. God is good to bring helpmate.

Winter Action

Activity at the Rec Center today brought sweat and racing heartbeats!

Student had a rest in between dribbling and running with her pal Jo.

Recently blessed with some books from our Church Family, Uncle Author has made his way into the hearts of both Student and Toddler! Thanks Bill & Marylin! A four set volume from 1950, Teresina and Coals of Fire were their recent paper adventures. Also, in Reading, we read and contrasted 2 poems:

Geography took it's warm lesson from the old skool today, also. Grandmother sent some Gilligan's Island episodes to the Homeschool this week! No, they aren't as innocent as Teacher remembers, but with a mind as inquisitive as Student's, nothing gets past her! Her fav line today was from Gilligan himself:

"...I can't pretend to be MaryAnn, I look dreadful in pigtails!"

Finishing our episode of Hawaiian comedy, Student swiveled the globe to locate The Pacific and Hawaii for Principal. Ode to our Navy Service-Pal Sarah!

Math has introduced yet another skip-counting method: counting by 25s. When running a Post Office errand, Principal worked such numbers with Student, and by the time they arrived back at the Homeschool, she had it down! Through quarters and seatwork, Student ended the lesson quite confident. Of course Auntie Barb's count to 30 request, when counting by 25s brought her some smiles!

History is wrapping up in I Kings, and continuing to II Kings.

In Language, Student ventured through explanations of contractions. Upon her grocery-store sighting, Student purchased a journal with her $5 Christmas card money... (thanks Grammie)!

She began writing today and can't wait to wake up and continue tomorrow!

Ending the day with Awana and Christmas light tour through the dark streets of town, we rest in the promise of Christ's return! Heaven Homeschool will surely be even brighter!

Back to Homeschool

Sunlight in our souls, and windows today,

the Homeschool returned from it's hiatus.

Math brought new measuring concepts. Student's new measuring rhetoric included:

Having been soooo big for the past year and pouring her own milk,

Student was familiar with gallon and it's usual liquid contents.

Toddler began with his Old Skool desk of letters.

He had a personal grudge against the letter "Q". As soon as that letter showed up, he was done! Trying to skip past it and continue choosing magnet letters and arranging them in alphabetical order, Teacher attempted to continue. WOOHOO! Another mastermind winning tallied up for manipulative instructors!

Continuing in Language, Student has had some practice in suffixes already this first grade year. However, the new idea of doubling the consonant at the end of a single syllable root word with a short vowel...that's new and adventurous story!

Getting more involved in time and temperature, Student wants to give the degrees in which the following would occur: (from a midwestern perspective, of course...)

Swim outdoors= 90 degrees

Ride your bike= my fav time is about 70 degrees

Play barefoot at the park= 99 degrees, but not at rubber parks, cuz it would melt your foot!

Build a snowman= 30 degrees, as long as it's good packing snow, though...

Play in rain= 70 degrees and in the Spring!

Visit the zoo= 100 degrees in the summer!

Finishing her Electricity unit, Student will squeeze in the human body before break! Hope we can get that flashlight back together!

Of course, there will probably be computer during break, as Student uses every venue possible for Art!

History is trying to book right along as we see the semester ENDING soon! 6 days and counting down!

Cookin' up a Book

Student is moving right along with her First Grade Cookbook.

Toddler is kicking his sickness...

Really, he's cowboying up! Nothing a lil, ibeprayin & ibuprofen can't fix!

During Reading today, Toddler picked the closest book in sight to read: the Dictionary! Requesting to learn the definition for boxing, boy & football.

Not wanting to confuse him, Teacher fought the urge to paste in a picture of Toddler to suffice a definition for BOY! And all fairness to Mascot, we shall give him time to boy-up!

Student and TOddler also enjoyed the tactile reading experience from Robert Sabuda. A Christmas tradition of Auntie Ang, Sabuda's books are taken out of the witness protection program a few times throughout the year, and they speak volumes! Popping with beauty and imagination!

History brought more vocab for Students current study list. Thanks to Papa D and their treasured 3 Stooges movie nights, she knew the definition of innocent! Thanks, Papa.

Continuing her 5-day study of Electricity, student hunted the Homeschool for items with switches. Here's what she found:

Seatwork will be finished as Teacher slides away to work this evening. Principal will tap his finger, sit beside her and offer all the encouragement in the world. Thank God for Dads!

Life Skills 101

We have all heard Teacher's memory of a schoolmate

whom never was taught to operate a washing machine...

and so there is no hope of Student and Toddler getting caught up in the same helpless estate!

Together, in upmost cooperation, the 2 loaded the washing machine

and pushed buttons, and viola: out popped clean clothes! Teacher is so proud, and awarded extra Spiderman stickers for this completion!

The Homeschool was blessed, by our beloved sister Sherri, a cross with Jabez' prayer on it. And today we set out to ask God to increase our Homeschool territory: increase our opportunity to affect others for His purpose. In doing so, Student bagged up homemade goodies for the mail carrier and wrote Godblesss You in the print card. Telling him Merry Christmas, she planted a seed.

In Science, Electricity has brought new vocab words:

Student: You take 2 alligator clips and hook it to something metal and you have a complete circuit. But, if you use, like, plastic, or wood, then it isn't a full circle. I like to make the circuits!

History also brought 2 new vocab words:

Student was in Royal Dreamland when we read of the fanciful and Slendiferous decor in the temple Solomon built!

Seatwork completed in Phonics, Language and Math. Mascot was sitting right beside Student encouraging her, as she really needed it today. The day after a seatwork-free day is always the hardest!

Violin focus today was on Student's 2 performances this weekend. She is truly getting the new kisses she has been instructed to practice. Only Mrs. S would know such mumbo, but it works!

Introduction to Electricity

Thanks to Principal, Student's introduction to electricity was completed in Computer. Uncovering some visuals through a handy-dandy site, Student's brain began to complete the circuit of learning! Getting some extra practice on engineeringinteract.org, she began connecting definitions of new words and symbols for diagrams.

WooHoo! Student has begun a new journey in Science! And a Homeschool lesson can only be complete with School House Rock!

"It's Schoolhouse Rocky. That chip off the block Of your favorite schoolhouse. Schoolhouse Rock!"

As for Toddler, his Awana lessons are getting caught up, little by little. His verse memorization is trying not to overload!

He is trying to master his letter flashcards. And yes, those are alien fingers floating on the side...Principal and Student love their air-time!

Preparing for her weekend interview, Student has completed her list of questions for our Brazilian-native friend. I can't wait to hear more from this annointed follower of Jesus. She always has such grrreat God stories!

Seatwork applause in Math and Phonics today. Student continued work on the clock and skip counting. It's so encouraging to see the ways of her God-given brain suck up all the information. Story problems are her favorite! Gotta give God credit for that!

History began the adventure of King Solomon's reign in I Kings today. Student was so excited to hear of The Queen of Sheba. Royalty is always welcome in her book!

With the influence of Principal, Student etched her version of a race car today! Art takes form in everything.

"A tool is what you make it!" said Mr. Olais. And that is our newly adopted motto at the Homeschool.

Finishing a cozy day at Homeschool, the snow began to fall. Out came the caroling books, and Student's voice filled the air. Toddler covered Teacher's mouth, Mascot nursed and Principal took it all in. That's another blessed day on the thankful list at Homeschool.

Wake Up

It's almost Friday, whether anyone is keeping track, or not! However, today is a school day, and Student must wake up. Easy does it! Slump down the stairs and begin your Homeschool day with computer!

Okay!

Intelligent computer time, that is. Student is truly excited about the new trial site for Pocoyo. This character was a youtube accident for us, and both she and Toddler are highly enterained. Truly, the British accent would hook anyone!

However, the requirement for intelligent computer wasn't being met through the dance floor activity! So, Student saved this for fun time, and continued onto Math Lines. This is a further practice of the addition families.

Dried and pleading for color, the art dough ornaments were transformed today.

And as Our Father blesses us with warm weather, the triple-thick gloss coat will be applied!

Not that all games must be in cyberspace, our dining table is a good spread for Candy Land! Student and Teacher began the round robin tourney while the quesadillas were in the oven. (Yet another recipe added to Student's first grade cookbook.) Toddler entered on the second round...and that was that! The pinching and yelling cancelled the tourney quickly. And even more quickly, The Lord stepped in and took over Toddler's motives. He reached over and clasped Student's hand. Student kindly asked him,

"What?"

and he replied...

"Aw. Nothing." and squeezed her little hand.

Principal and I were reminded, yet again, how Homeschool is growing them.

Toddler headed out into the sun with Principal and tossed around the football, while Student completed her Math & Language seatwork.

Completing II Kings in History today, Student will end the week with a vocab test tomorrow. Interestingly, God's timing in our studying the David and Bathsheba affair, was another opportunity to discuss the Enemy's temptation of adultery. Even in today's time. As Principal loves golf, she's heard her share of Tiger's transgressions as well as the explanations of the sacred union of marriage. All in a day of living, right?!

Violin has brought Christmas closer to Homeschool, as Student and Teacher have been jingling their bows!

Field Trip

Unscramble! Well, not just a morning brain to unscramble, but words, silly!

Student worked on Language seatwork with a smile today. The unscramble exercise was a nice change of monotony in her seatwork. Also in Language, she worked on sentence structure, correcting the incorrect examples. What a self-booster to see that even the book author doesn't get every sentence perfect!

Grammar continued with pronoun and suffix review. Student has a list of her favorite fancy words with a suffix:

What blessings God grants us through Homeschool, may we recognize this on days that seem not-so-blessed, but truly are! Amen.

Violin has brought Student to new heights...literally. On her bow, the markings of her "yard" have gotten higher, and it is just the boost she needed! Also, her Christmas selections are preparing for their blog debut! :)

Toddler was on sharpening duty today.

As God is a part of our daily lives, we felt His presence and care through a Field Trip opportunity today. As Principal is around, he has had the opportunity to be more hands-on in Homeschool. And just in time for Student's recent measuring and mapping skills, our church needed help measuring the new building that's on it's way to our campus this week!

So, armed with her sketchbook, measuring tape and architectural ruler, Student and Principal headed for a roadtrippn' field trip.

And right in time for the extended-due-date, our Final Friday quilt project is completed! Student's tag reads:

Monday Speed

Speedy? Only in Math, that is, as Student speed directly through her speed drills. Include her Domino Math in the speedy lane, too.

Student bathed the morning away and jumped out to help with little Katelynn. Both she and her big brother were over for about an hour, and Student's life skills blossomed before my eyes! Student helped give each toy to Kate as Toddler retrieved the rejects. The boys didn't even disagree and puff out their chests until the very last minutes of playing together!

Preparing for Student's solo recital tomorrow night, she participated in a play-in over the weekend. Mega thanks to Papa D for coming and taking this video. Student had the opportunity to be a leader of the group and she just stood tall and played as though she were at Homeschool!

Seatwork made for a true Monday. Student is least excited for such things as this. Today's papers of calendar reading, rhyming, and antonyms even required chocolate chips as a motivator to finish. In the end, she completed her 3 pages and her sweet-tooth was completely satisfied! Wonder where she got this sugar desire? :)

Little by little, God is granting us time to work on our donation quilt for Final Friday.

This is the 2nd of 3 pieces that will complete the quilt top. Glory be to God for the fabric He brought together and the math that will work out! When finished, this roomy twin will be the biggest quilt we've made to date. And by far the most boy!

Good Morning Math

Student loves to begin her day with such numbers and logic.

We compared and contrasted inches, feet & yards. Not locating our yard stick, we pulled out the roller-cutting mat and measured many Homeschool findings:

Student did well deciding which tool to use in each case.

Her new fav game, is virtual quilting! She had the idea for looking up such a game,

and WOW if we didn't locate an awesome one!

This parallels with her symmetry learning in Math just grandly!

And as though we didn't already testify to God's perfect timing,

Gramma Es Tu brought some applique´ blocks in the boxes of fabric she gifted us this week!

This pretty block offered Student the opportunity to use yarn, pink of course, and identify all the lines of symmetry. Thanks, Gramma Es Tu.

What about that solo recital coming up? Student continues practice, and is learning some music symbols in the meantime. Mrs. S also worked on clapping familiar rhythms from Twinkle. Student was called a "Good listener!" several times throughout their game. She truly treasures their lesson time.

Student baked, mixing and measuring all-by-herself, while Mascot nursed. None other than: banana-chocolate chip muffins. Her life skills were working quite well on their own, before Teacher rushed the process and added 1 cup too much flour! Forgive me, bowing out is hard to do! As an adult with a constant eye on the clock, we can be reminded of life's simple beauty from above when observing the time schedule of a child.

Well, Student and Teacher gifted a half dozen to Mrs. S and her family for her husband's birthday. HAPPY BDAY MR.S!

Digging out the sculpty from the craft cabinet today, Student and Toddler began their Map activity in Geography. Flattening, texturizing, and cutting 2 continents, Student quickly asked to finish the project tomorrow!

"This clay is too hard. I can't mash it...

Ok, here's Australia and South America, and half of Antarctica. Is that all for today?"

Cursive came and went in the form of the 12 months. Student wrote the names of the months each on a flashcard, and mixed them up. She enjoyed singing her months-of-the-year song and placing them in order. Now, to find a song about the hours of the day!

Morning Doo

It's Fall! Yes, much too cold for morning dew.

Student began her with morning fishy doo!

She had a smile about the whole project, as now she

is a first grader with responsibilities, and a hunger for such duties.

In her robe, before her beauty bath, Student cleaned Alezandra's fish bowl and prepared her pet for life in the penthouse, upstairs in Student's room, that is!

With her chart and pen at her bedside, Student will keep track of the time and day she feeds her pet. She will place a sticker at the end of each week she fully completes the feeding task. Funny how our manual stressed the point of a fair system to share this charting/feeding duty...no problems there! Homeschool doesn't however breed selfishess, as Student shares most everything else with Toddler and soon-to-grow Mascot!

With sun and temps in the 50's, God granted the gift of Activity today! We walked to the neighborhood park and enjoyed our Math while soaking up the vitamin D. Playtime at the Evos Park is always an energy-buster for Toddler. However, today, the green space seemed to be most popular. Maybe their darting around will turn them into another Ryan Hall, running for God and representing our country!

Finishing up 2 make-up tests in Math, Student did great.

We had to laugh at ourselves taking turns being the teacher and quizzing eachother:

"Stand ifI say a month, sit if I say a day of the week!"

Student beat Teacher on this one!

Student also got her fill in math by switch-counting. She would begin counting by 5s and switch to 1s when directed. What a girl! Thanks, God!

Student:I had fun doing school in my room!

I have a fishy in my room! And her name is Alezandra.My sentence in cursive today was:

Do you like my room?

Wisdom Search

Student awoke bright and early, with a negative attitude. After she sulked for some time, she realized that the enemy would not want her to have the joy that would come from reading The Holy Word, and up she went! Teeth brushed and notebook open and Bible in-hand!

I remember being a Student in school and trying to figure out my own way of note-taking that would work for me. Student just went with it, and this is what she came up with!

We talked about prayer, and the ACTS method.

Thankfulness

Supplication

She only needed help catching the first verse, and from then on, she picked out the significant verses that paralleled with what she asked wisdom from God. And she recorded the following:

"You hate all things that are evil..."

I thank God for this new excitement and realization that God has a plan and can work through even a six-year-old. Ruby Bridges has a dynamic faith that helped bring Student's to a new level. Thanks, God, for always working! Amen

And for the rest of homeschool, Student has been substituting as I am sick, now. With a sick Teacher, there are measurements to be taken: The Mascot is precisely 2.5 large- lincoln- logs- long. His eyebrow and hand are both 1 short- lincoln- log- long.

Goodbye Judges

Fast approaching Ruth, our History lesson took us through the end of Judges today. Student added 2 new words to her vocabulary list:

Toddler enjoyed the Samson saga. You know, all the regular boy interests:

Who said The Bible was boring?!

Student had more Map exercises in Geography. The whole Bird's Eye concept she liked, but the map colors just weren't interesting enough. When one is 6 years old, pink and purple really are the only acceptable colors. And that's where Principal gets his extra credit in bringing to Homeschool Student's newest heart's desire: Decorate and Primp Mirror. This Art project had been in her heart for weeks. She had even drawn mock-ups with multiple ideas for decoratng. This is what she came up with!

We put on our brains in Math today and realized we didn't need to create more flashcards that looked like dominoes to help learn our addition and subtraction facts up to ten. The need was filled by shiny, colorful dominoes from Grammy. Thanks! These fit right into Student's hand, and provide a perfect excuse for playing!

Seatwork was finished nice and early, as we had plans to venture out into our Father's world of blue skies and falling leaves and acorns! We trekked our favorite 2.5 mile venture to the park and donut shop. Meeting up with some friends, Student's imagination was brought to life with the acorn collection. She brought them home and immediately set up house and home for those little acorn people! Thanks, Johanna, for a new day of play and creativity! Student cut-up houses and beds and drew faces on each member of her acorn family. A family of 5, of course!

Fall Creation

Student has finished her new banner header and color design on her blog. A little conversation and input from Principal can bring a whole new light on creativity. And of course no censoring, as Student creates art with a BANG!

Student was overjoyed to receive a package in the mail from her Metropolitan Cousins. It was overflowing with goods, among which was the backpack she just had to feature in her new banner pic! Don't give a girl a pink backpack and think it's a small deal! Homeschool has changed forever. Thanks and blessings right back to the Cousins!

Inspired by Toddler's Art from Awana, Student created her own version! She included the verse from Genesis 1:11 in cursive on the back. Yes, her happy-self thought she had completed the handwriting, but I noted that she still needed to cite the reference...to this she quickly asked:

"Is there an abbreviation for Genesis?"

Good ol' shortcuts and impatience, she has truly adopted The American Way...

Math test was no big deal, but Student did have fun with speed drills!

Fully enveloped by this beautiful season God has brought upon us, our Science experiement took Student into the leaves! We are charting the changes each hour as she picked 3 leaves to dry. She made her hypothesis of when she thinks they will be fully dry and how they will change in their texture. Can't wait to see her conclusion!

Student: "I think the leaves will be dry tomorrow morning. And they will be not pliable."

Rhythm Stick Sleeping

Good morning to the rain. The record player was our only escape from the dreary weather outside of our window. And with props to Grandmother, again, Hans Christian Anderson, Fairy Tales were brought to life today on vinyl. Student and Toddler enjoyed The Steadfast Tin Soldier and The Ungly Duckling. Yes, Toddler asked for the soldier to be repeated, and confessed his love for the bayonet! Literary mornings bring out the best in everyone!

Student picked her connecting cursive words from the fairy tales we listened to:

I love seeing how her brain thinks through it all. And her explanations, too. She is a critical thinker and I thank God for her work. She encourages me.

Wednesday History continues on through Exodus. Student and Toddler couldn't stop listening and kept asking for more! The 10 plagues of Egypt, chapters 4-12 in The Holy Bible. What a scary time in history, and as for the ending...what a powerful time in history. We are to remember the Passover and celebrate His protection of His people. Many sit back and often wonder why God doesn't perform miracles anymore...then God exposes our blindness and we realize He is working miracles every day! Praise God for His new mercies every morning!

Our life-skills learning today is turning a 2XL prom dress turned stage dress into a princess dress-up play-clothing for Student. Only such a $2 deal would prompt us to do such a work in a house ravaged by a newborn! Well, ravaged by our clutter because we're out of sorts because our expanded family blessings because of a tired Teacher because of night-nursing because of a newborn gift from God. Any questions about our run on sentence? It is all well worth it!

Cursive practice consisted of a letter. A letter to Daddy! What else would a sweet daughter want to tell her Daddy on his day off? What little girl doesn't want to be the apple of her Daddy's eye? Just read this love letter from Student:

Dear DAD,

I love you Dad-

dy. I miss you.

Have a nise day off.

Love, Me

What an intuitive girl! She must be awaiting his answer, hence the line, and expecting him to ask just what she is looking forward to...oh what sweet thoughts and expectations only a Daddy can fill. A relationship only God could arrange.

Seatwork fills the empty spaces of our day. And for Student, we delayed it's filler-time as Toddler and she were playing so well with their VW buses and fogging up the french doors to draw their masterpieces on the glass...gotta love homeschool!

Student-learned Swedish Facts: The most popular dala horse is the reddish-brown one. Red, white, and blue and yellow horses with green decorations are found, too.

It's name is the dala horse, because of how it started in the war when the soldiers went from house to house to stay and they carved the dala horses to thank the hosts. This is a legend, only.

My Daddy took wire and bent it into a dala horse shape. And then, we used paper-mache to cover the wire. And now it is drying and wen it's dry we wil paint it.

Goodbye Space

Bittersweetness for us, but alas, we have to depart. Not for space, but rather, from space. Our unit is complete and we will be sending out email invites out during our Fall Break for our Space Open House. Student kindly asked for "scripts" today when I reminded her that it would be her job to tell about her projects and learning! What a kid!

Also along the lines of completion, we are 5 lessons away from finishing Genesis in History. Today was a grand story of a wedding, right along Student's royal liking! Soon, we will continue onto Exodus, with our focus of Egyptian culture.

Our pledge to the flags and The Holy Bible have become such an entertainment! Toddler has been practicing for Awana that begins next week! Student is such a sweet teacher, too. We are so glad to have the opportunity to live in a country that gives us the freedoms to serve our God and our country.

Today's blessing came with the name of Jo. She surprised Student and took her away to an afternoon of girl-time!

Violin in our afternoon and creating more flashcards for Math, this has been our homeschool day!

Student's Take: It was fun, I didn't even know I was going to go out with Jo! We played at the park. Then we went to the store and got a snack. Then we went to her house & played dress-up. And then it was time to go. I went home.
