Thursday Ball

Having a ball, yes, thanks to this FLIP FLOP weather!

But before galavanting around in the vitamin D, seatwork prevails.

God has blessed the homeschool with an abundance of sunshine and so the afternoon quickly turned to the local park.

Greenspace for reading poetry...

for balling...

and then returning for gardening. Mascot volunteers for naked-gardening duty.

Monday Mix Up

Peddling away on a mission...

To market, to market...

to buy some fat limes!

Then to retire outside with fresh breathe, and a cool tummy.

Student digs into the recycle bin and makes herself a wallet thanks to Grammie's awesome paper folding book!

Thursday Treat

Taking a break from the books,
the Homeschool took to the fresh snow
to create a treat.

Student copied the recipe.
Warrior scooped just the right amount of freshly fallen snow.
Teacher poured in the almond milk and vanilla.

Student & Warrior voted that it wasn't sweet enough
and added a packet of hot chocolate.

Thursday treat, indeed!

Friday Construction

Voting to have sewing FIRST on our list of lessons today, Student and Teacher got to work while Mascot & Warrior directed the trains on the track in their room.

Repurposing an old jean skirt of Student's, Teacher has used it to patch many a pair of jean. But, there was more than enough, as Student reported, to make a dress for Rebecca! Again, that resourceful girl just amazes Teacher at her likeness of her Creator.

Cutting, stitching, toothbrushin...and Student's handwork on the buttons that were already prepped with holes from the jean skirt closure at the waist...and Rebecca had her FARM DRESS, as Student named it!

Then, after Teacher realized just HOW MUCH time had passed, she lead Activity for P.E. and Mascot followed directions quite well!

Student and Warrior decided to argue over who used which blue mat today...

And so, that left little time for seatwork, so Student took over.

Stepping right in and helping those around her. Using her Spiritual gift of Teaching, and womanly virtue of bossing, she was the key to completing our learning day!

After Student gave a summary of their learning, she and Warrior joined Teacher in the kitchen for cookie dough!

The cookies must be around here somewhere...

Wednesday Dirt

Ask Student, the day wasn't particularly dirty, but she insisted on wearing her apron all the day long, anyhow! Being that it's polka-dot, Teacher was also in favor! Thanks to Auntie Paige for the gift!

From Spelling seatwork of word-picture assignments...

to Health review...

and even jumping rope in P.E. Student learned a lesson in versatility, that girl is soooo resourceful!

Even Mascot enjoyed the activity. He's developing his rope-turning skills daily!
And Warrior is finding every way possible to include bouncing in each session.

Though bouncing-stretches aren't recommended for people of all ages, but his bones seemed to do just fine.

No matter the day, or subject, both Warrior and Student like making use of the magnadoodle and having couch-school.

Finally, to the dirt-of-the-day! Student's apron came in handy when she painted and then when we mixed up some focaccia bread for supper.

Who would be able to tell the kids no when they ask for half of the dough to be breadstix and the other to be dessert pizza? Again, that resourcefulness is a genuinely useful lesson in all things! Shall we call it a day at the Homeschool? Indeed!

Thanks to the King of Kings for lavishing us with His love in so many ways. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Tuesday, Last

Awaiting the weekend trip North, the Homeschool will call this the last full day this week.
Preparation to leave the campus clean and orderly will indeed take the next 3 days, if not a year! Oh, Teacher laughs out loud!

Camera was in the hands of some littler people today, and without pictures of oh-so-normal seatwork being accomplished, there was this...

Working into the late hours of the afternoon readying a supper for Grammie and Papa Randy, we are all remembering to offer hospitality and love to them as they lost a family member this week. God knows, we trust.

Student found a face in her potato peeling game...as Teacher is sure God is smiling!

Friday Construction

Yes, the ONLY construction enjoyed during pre-winter weather...
Gingerbread Houses!

Beginning, and getting distracted by the fair weather, Warrior constructed a win block with two walls!

Student had planned to visit Great Papa Marshall and construct hers, so she let her guest go first.

It was ending up to be a wish box, as the triangular roof we didn't plan for, wasn't working with the curved store-brand crackers...so an adobe/wish box to hide a Christmas wish inside...that's what the Homeschool created.

And, working from the brain and not experience or directions...Teacher figured out, by the second attenpt, that the frosting really had to be specific-to-this project! So, adding egg whites and moving on, Student created hers...

Topped with pixie stick!

Treading across town to the Rec Center, energy bounded off the walls.

Then, witnessing the delightful weather, the sword fighting finished the afternoon after seatwork. All for one, one for all! Thanks, Lord above!

Thursday School

Yes, there is a holiday break approaching...

So, down to business. Super School continues for all!

In addition to the status quote work...

Puzzle work for Mascot, as he seems to always be helping the other students. He has even been swiping cups from the dining table and taking them to the bathtub and filling them with waer for snack time! What a helper! 14 months and counting!

Serious stretching followed by Yo Gabba Gabba! Not to be confused with an ATTENTION DEFICIT PROMOTER... as the Homeschool doesn't partake in it's colorful and
fast presentation EVERYDAY!

Cooking for self AND others, strawberry muffins, a flavor pick from Student.

Warrior even double-dutied during his Phonics! He has graduated to his first non-phonetic sound! E can say EEE as in ME!

Counting the giveaways before delivering them, Warrior licked his lips!

Thanks be to God for helping the Homeschool continue in a Super week.
All the glory and honor to Him! Amen.

Thursday School

Giving their best and giving God the glory.
Yes, books and pencils found their way to the Homeschool, yet again, today.

Student and Warrior, however, used their love for cooking to provide dessert
to the local homeless shelter residents.

Daily, learning to do everything without complaining,
so they may be blameless and pure children of God...
