Tuesday Pays

Life is learning.

Photobucket

Having known this before beginning the homeschooling adventure,
it is only highlighted through our time in the classroom together.

Photobucket

Photobucket

But it is not there that learning stops.

Photobucket

No, outside of these four blue walls,
learning continues.

Even at the Fabric Shop when your name is Warrior and you decide to CLEAN teh bolt of black batik fabric with 13 dollar soap that is waiting to be bought.

Photobucket

Learning to the tune of two weeks of extra chores and just under $60. Yep. Life is learning.

Photobucket

Mascot takes a turn learning at the church carnival. He knows how to make learning fun!

As for the motivation to learn...Student chooses sour straws today!

Friday Coop Class

Yes, this semester of coop class
has brought many blessings
to the Homeschool.

Student has seen God answer prayers for friends.
Warrior has bigger boys to tackle.
And Mascot gets more Teacher-time!

Thank you, Lord for the home-educators that came before
and those that you will call after us.

May You get the glory.

Wednesday Notes

Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart...Eph 5:19

Let us do such praising with melodies of Student's first duet!

What a blessing this year has been with the addition of coop classes on Monday and Friday. After class, to the library go!

Thursday Work

Add one, and three sit in desks! It's been an amazing Fall to spent time with cousin.

Somehow Warrior transfers the competitive spirit into sitting! Any motivation for sitting is encouraged by Teacher.

And when else does his competitive spirit brought out?

In play.

In P.E.

Warrior hit a new P.R. with 26 jumps with a rope. This kis MUST be a middle child! He's comparing all things, pushing all boundaries...may God align this competitive spirit to bring Him glory.

As for Mascot, he just wants to be a part of whatever Student is doing. Turning a jumprope into a microphone is just another way he brings joy to our daily learning.

And when to rest? Tent time. Good old brother and sister togetherness in the backyard under the sunshine. In the shade, and at peace. Thanks be to God the Father of all good things!

Thursday Together

Call it school and get it over with!

Consider getting dressed for your last days of preschool, would you Warrior?

If it means he gets to go outside, then he's agreed to add clothing to
cover his body.

Ready, set, GO!

Run into summer and leave the schoolyear behind.

Who DOESN'T flip for summer?!

Praise Him for a new season!
Thank you, Jesus!

Thankful Wednesday

After the wrapping paper is wadded,
and the presents take their place in her room, Student is taking time to thank those who blessed her with their presence and gifts on her 8th birthday.

Naturally, at the top of the list: Grammy!

Continuing time in her favorite chair, Spelling and Language fill the morning.

And what can pull a girl from her favorite chair? Laundry!

Busy boys configure tessellations and read together.

God is good, and summer is almost here!

Monday Trip

Away, into the clouds...

well, the park and the zoo, anyhow.

Celebrating the homecoming of friends, and God's furry creations...

then cooling down from the pre-summer heat!

Thank God above for field trips for EVERY reason,
even on Mondays!

Friday Before Saturday

Saturdays are great for MANY reasons, yes.

But a girl only turns 8, once! Saturday marks her party day.
So get your seatwork done, call it a Halfie...

and get to painting the party signs!

Thursday Prep

Because they only come ONCE a year...

and each year only comes ONCE...

the Homeschool makes birthdays a celebration to remember!

Would God have it any other way?
Celebrate His masterpiece: children!

As the children shoot,
Teacher gets out the scissors and re-purposes an old sheet...

cuts and lays a bunting along the court boundary for Student's circus birthday party.

Trying to conserve her newly-restored energy, Student has been resting much after her sickness. Warrior on the other hand, slipped in some Art behind her back. She wouldn't stand for Art occorances excluding her!

Finishing his work, and having multiple sticky fingers...

Project complete.

Monday Cooperation

Group projects aren't always Teacher's favorite.
There's a constant need for a referee, and the competition soars through
the roof of the homeschool.

But there's no more fun a group can have than a
backyard game of croquet!

And what boy wouldn't up the
testosterone level with a backyard shirtless session?

Mascot and Warrior are getting to a new stage in their relationship,
and when they agree on their roles, it works! Warrior instructs, and Mascot does.

And in the end, one can always count on a book cooperating,
not having much to say but READ ME!

Finally Friday

Passing days, blooming buds, the Homeschool can SMELL summer!

Daily renewing our minds until break season arrives,
Teacher finds some DAILY BREAD.

Surviving the bottom level of her purse, the words comfort,
even through stains of cracker left-overs.

Student gets her fill.

And who else is reading The Living Word, today? Our dearest sweet, Miss Amber. Finding it hard to believe that her last Senior chapel arrived today, the Homeschool went to renew their minds with she and her classmates, one last time.

Along with their parents, these seniors, soon-to-be college-students, were a bright spot to the Homeschool today.

Completing the morning, Mascot snagged Student's map and elected to aid her studies.

Principal's iPhone aided her in her studies, as well. Who can complain of help?

Getting to the fun work, seatwork ended it's day with Art, for Warrior.

Thursday Work

Up, up and away from the Homeschool campus.

Serving and using God-given skills to
further the Kingdom...(and the landscaping efforts).

Blessings to anf from our local church family. God is good.
